Ground me, Lord

And remind me who I am,

An extension of you,

And not of anyone else.

Don’t let me get lost,

In the current affairs.

Wake me up if I daydream,

Or just wander away.

I am forever grateful,

Yet my fear won’t subside

Is this really your response?

Or am I living a lie?

The phantom of loss

Torments me everyday.

What if I fall so deep,

That I can’t find my way?

Let me trust in your power,

In the love you create.

Make me let go of sorrow,

And find joy in my faith.
